JollyBikes, positioned close to the Thames start of the Hauraki Rail Trail, proudly holds the title of the longest-running bike hire company in the region. Embark on your adventure with our extensive selection of e-bikes and trail bikes. Our bikes come fully equipped with helmets and useful extras, including pumps, locks, saddle covers, puncture repair kits, and carriers—all at no additional cost! You need a bike for a week or more? Rental Terms and Conditions
Minimum age for hiring e-bikes is 18 years. However younger ones may be able to use our e-bikes under parental supervision. Please contact us in advance to discuss.
Half day - 4 hours bike hire.
Monday - Friday hires must be returned no later than 4:30 pm. Saturdays hires must be returned no later than 1:30 pm. Sundays hire by negociation in prior to the day.
Optional accidental damage insurance: Standard bikes $10 per day, e-bikes $20 per day.
Surcharge for usage on mountain bike tracks: 50% of standard price (due to more intensive cleaning requirements and higher wear and tear).
One way hire - available on request in advance at an additional cost.
Discounts for rentals for 5+ days.
Public holiday surcharge extra $30 per booking
